Organic Ingredients | Willamette Valley Harvested | 14 Meals/Week
The Fresh Difference
-
75/25 Organic Nutrition
We use a simple ratio: 75% local organic chicken and 25% seasonal harvest mix. By sourcing from our neighbors, we ensure ingredients move from soil to bowl at peak ripeness.
-
Gently Fresh-Cooked
We refuse ultra-processing. Our meals are gently cooked in small batches at low temperatures to preserve nutritional integrity. This supports superior digestion compared to high-heat kibble.
-
Portioned for Vitality
Every subscription delivers 14 fresh meals—a full 7 days of nutrition precision-portioned for your dog's needs. We deliver weekly to Portland, Salem, and the surrounding metro areas.
Is Pasture & Paws Right For Your Dog?
If your dog struggles with digestion, allergies, energy, or picky eating — this is where fresh food makes the biggest difference.
Sensitive Stomachs
Gentle nutrition, without compromise
Some dogs simply need food that works with their body, not against it.
Our gently cooked, whole-food recipes are easier to digest and free from the common irritants found in processed kibble, supporting a calmer gut and more consistent digestion.
Allergies & Skin Issues
Remove the triggers, restore balance
Many chronic skin and allergy issues trace back to overly processed ingredients and synthetic additives.
By using organic, human-grade foods and eliminating fillers entirely, we help reduce unnecessary inflammation at the source.
Picky Eaters
Food that dogs recognize as food
Real texture. Real aroma. Real flavor.
When meals are made from whole, gently prepared ingredients instead of powders and pellets, even selective dogs respond differently — because it finally smells and tastes like food again.
Ingredient-Conscious Humans
Full transparency, no decoding required
If you read labels carefully, this is for you.
Every ingredient in Pasture & Paws is something you could recognize, pronounce, and cook yourself — sourced locally and selected with intention.
Kibble-Fatigued Owners
A clear alternative to factory food
If you’re tired of navigating confusing labels and conflicting claims, we offer a simpler model:
real farms, real food, and short, honest ingredient lists you can trust.
Energy & Vitality
Fuel that actually nourishes
When food is biologically appropriate and minimally processed, dogs don’t just survive on it — they thrive on it.
More stable energy, better muscle tone, and brighter eyes often follow when nutrition finally supports the whole animal.
Weight Management
Naturally balanced, not engineered
Ultra-processed foods rely on additives and fortification to correct what processing removes.
Whole foods regulate weight more naturally through real proteins, fibers, and fats — without artificial manipulation.
Aging Dogs
Support that evolves with them
As dogs age, their nutritional needs change.
Fresh, gently prepared meals place less strain on the body and offer more bioavailable nutrients, supporting joints, cognition, and overall resilience later in life.

Winter Harvest Blend — Organic Chicken
Your dog’s meal is built on two parts: a steady protein base and a rotating produce blend. While your choice of local meat remains constant, our vegetable and fruit mix evolves with the Willamette Valley’s natural rhythm.
By rotating our produce to match the current harvest, we ensure your dog receives the peak nutrient density that only fresh, local soil can provide. Our current Winter Harvest features hardy storage crops and frost-kissed greens; as the seasons shift, so will your dog’s bowl—look for a fresh arrival of spring roots and summer berries in our upcoming rotations.

Nature’s Pharmacy, Grown Locally
We don't believe in fillers. Every ingredient in our kitchen is selected for its specific nutritional purpose and sourced from the rich soils of the Willamette Valley.
Nutrient-Dense, Local Roots
We source exclusively from Willamette Valley farmers to ensure every ingredient is pulled at peak nutritional density. This seasonal rotation provides living enzymes and bioavailable fiber for a calm, healthy digestive tract.
Whole plants—never synthetic powders.
Antioxidants from the Orchard
By sourcing local apples and berries at peak ripeness, we capture nature’s most potent health boosters. These bioregional superfoods fight oxidative stress and support your dog's cognitive health and energy levels.
Truly fresh, local fruit—just as nature intended.
Clean, Honest Protein
Our organic chicken is sourced from local Oregon farms, raised without antibiotics or synthetic additives. Rich in essential amino acids and healthy fats, it builds lean muscle and a vibrant coat with none of the fillers found in industrial kibble.
Protein your dog’s body was built to recognize.
Built on Real Nutrition, Not Marketing Claims
-
Aligned with AAFCO Nutritional Guidelines
Our recipes exceed AAFCO standards, but we go further by sourcing human-grade ingredients that national factory brands simply cannot scale.
-
Whole-Food Formulation
Dogs absorb nutrients from organic food better than synthetic powders used by national brands. Our local sourcing retains the vital enzymes factory competitors lose during mass production.
-
Balanced Recipes, Not Supplement-Loaded
Our nutrition comes from the food itself — not excessive powders, fortification blends, or artificial vitamin layering.
-
Designed for Long-Term Feeding
Pasture & Paws recipes are crafted for daily, sustained feeding — not short-term trends or novelty formulas.

What local pet owners are saying about fresh, seasonal meals made right here in the Willamette Valley.
Maple, 4 yrs — Golden Retriever
“We’ve tried every ‘premium’ dog food out there, but this is the first one that actually feels local. I love knowing the ingredients are coming from nearby farms and changing with the seasons instead of being the same thing year-round. Our Golden, Maple, is eating better than we do some nights.”
Ridge, 3 yrs — Mini Australian Shepherd
“When you open a Pasture & Paws delivery, it actually smells like food you’d cook at home, not dog food. You can see the vegetables and chicken. I really like that they rotate ingredients based on what’s fresh right now. It just makes sense for better nutrition.”
Cooper, 6 yrs — Labrador Retriever
“Our Lab had itchy skin and low energy on kibble. After switching to Pasture & Paws, his coat is shiny again and he’s acting like a puppy. I love that it’s made here in the Valley from local farms instead of shipped across the country.”
Leo, 2 yrs — Bernedoodle
“What sold me was that the recipes change with the seasons. Instead of feeding my dog the same formula forever, his meals actually reflect what’s fresh right now. It feels closer to how animals would eat naturally. Plus, Leo is obsessed with it.”
Charlie, 11 yrs — Beagle
“Our Beagle is a picky senior and turns his nose up at most food. He cleans his bowl every time now. I love that this isn’t frozen or shelf-stable — it’s real food, delivered fresh, and sourced locally. It feels like the healthiest choice for him.”
Atlas, 5 yrs — German Shepherd Mix
“Pasture & Paws brought us back to feeding our dog actual food instead of processed pellets. Knowing the veggies and chicken come from nearby farms gives me peace of mind. I also love that the ingredients change with the seasons instead of being one-size-fits-all.”

Questions About Fresh, Local Dog Food?
Here’s everything you need to know about Pasture & Paws — from sourcing and nutrition to delivery and storage.
Still have questions? Reach out — we’re happy to help.
What exactly is Pasture & Paws?
Pasture & Paws is a fresh, locally made dog food company crafting human-grade meals from organic whole foods sourced in the Willamette Valley.
Our recipes follow a bioregional approach — meaning we rotate fruits and vegetables with the seasons, using what’s harvested at its peak for maximum nutrient benefit. Meals are gently cooked in small batches and delivered fresh, never shelf-stable, frozen, or mass-produced.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We source our ingredients primarily from organic farms and producers throughout Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
We operate on a bioregional model, meaning we build our recipes around what is growing locally and seasonally — not ingredients shipped from across the country or overseas. This allows us to harvest foods at their peak nutrient density while supporting regional agriculture.
Is your dog food really human-grade?
Unlike kibble or frozen mass-market brands, our food is:
• Fresh and gently cooked, not extruded at high heat
• Made in small batches, not factories
• Delivered locally, not shipped nationwide
• Built around whole foods, not synthetic fillers
Kibble is engineered for shelf life. Pasture & Paws is built for biological nourishment.
How is your food different from kibble or frozen dog food?
Unlike kibble, our meals are gently cooked to preserve natural nutrients instead of being extruded at high heat.
Unlike frozen food, our meals are delivered fresh weekly, not stored for months.
This results in:
• Better digestibility
• Higher nutrient retention
• Fewer synthetic additives
• Real food dogs recognize

Delivery day is assigned based on your city.
How much food do I receive each delivery?
Each delivery includes a full week of meals based on your dog’s size and needs — typically 14 meals per week for most dogs.
Portions are customized to your dog’s weight, activity level, and goals.
How long does the food stay fresh?
Our meals stay fresh for up to 7 days refrigerated.
They can also be frozen if needed and thawed safely when ready to use.
We never rely on preservatives or shelf-stable processing.
Is Pasture & Paws complete and balanced for long-term feeding?
Yes. Our recipes are formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient guidelines for adult maintenance using whole foods and targeted balancing where needed.
How do I transition from kibble?
Start by mixing a small portion into your dog’s current food for 3–5 days, then increase the fresh portion gradually over 7–10 days. We include simple transition guidance with your first order.
Is your food suitable for puppies or senior dogs?
Yes. Our recipes are formulated to support dogs at every life stage.
Puppies benefit from higher digestibility and real nutrients, while seniors benefit from gentle cooking and anti-inflammatory ingredients.

We offer a 14-day Love It or Your Money Back guarantee.
If your dog isn’t thriving on Pasture & Paws, we’ll make it right.

Rooted in Love, Grown in the Valley
This is Rory. When I brought him home at six months old, I promised him more than just a full bowl, I promised him a full life. But I soon realized the food I was giving him couldn't keep that promise.
So, I started cooking. What began in my kitchen turned into a decade-long quest, partnering with local farms to source ingredients at their peak. I learned that true vitality comes from food that's as fresh and seasonal as the day it's harvested.
Now nine, Rory runs with the joy of a puppy. With Pasture & Paw, my mission is to help your dog discover that same deep, enduring vitality. Because every dog deserves a life this vibrant.
